Capitol Woodcarvers were well represented at the “National Night Out” at Center 50+. Don and Barb set up and manned a display table alongside other 50+ crafters,(jewelry, woodshop, quilting, and baking). Barb demonstrated pyrography, and Don displayed carvings. They both interacted with many interested folks and promoted the classes at 50+ as well as the Capitol Woodcarvers Club. There was a live band, free hot dogs, chips, ice cream and beverages. Several other service groups were represented as well. There were fun booths for the young and young at heart. The evening culminated with a drawing for “door prizes” (our club contributed two).
